Online search gaint Google plans to increase its share of the Indian Mobile Phone Application Market,as the company seeks to gain more revenues from segments beyond pure internet search.Google has already introduced a set of application in India aimed at providing a Pc like browsing eperience for mobile handset users.
The growth of the telecom market in India with over 400Million subscribers base with millions added every month is serving as an ideal base for google to test its new application."India is a test bed for many other similar markets".
Social Networking,Voice Based search,photo sharing and online maps are among areas being explored by Google for developing newer applications...
"Studies had shown that more than more than half of the net connected individuals come onto their mobiles looking for entertinament and education.It is estimated that they are over 20Million Internet Enabled phone users in India.
