India's Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee Submitted budget for 2009-2010. He Became unpopular between womens in India as he submitted in his budget increasing import duties over Gold and Silver.However he is very sure that he will get some praise from jewellers who are anticipating a gold rush in the immediate future because the prices will go up only after the new import duties comes into effect.
Import duties have been increased to Rs 200 per Sovereign for gold bars and Rs 500 per sovereign for other forms of gold.while most of Indian womens are grumbling jewellers are upbeat at the prospect of higher short term sales.The gold price is unlikely to jump immediately to reflect higher duties they say, and so people would buy now to avoid purchasing at higher prices later...
